Press Release - ISC Group Welcomes Declan O’Rourke as the First Male Ambassador in Ireland

Dublin, Ireland, 15 September 2025 – ISC Group is proud to announce Declan O’Rourke, CEO of Aviva Insurance Ireland DAC and member of the Aviva UK/Ireland Executive Committee, as the first male Ambassador for ISC Group in Ireland and its second male Ambassador for the Group.

With over three decades of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, Declan has held senior leadership positions across Ireland, the UK, the US, and Latin America. He began his career as a Chartered Accountant with PwC before joining AIG, where he spent 27 years in a variety of leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as General Manager of AIG Ireland and member of the European Executive Committee.

Declan has also served as President of the Insurance Institute of Ireland (2023–2024) and is currently a Board Member at Level Health. He has also served on the Board of Laya Healthcare.

Declan joins a team of ISC ambassadors based in Ireland championing gender balance within the country’s financial services industry. These are, Fiona Marry, Frances Torsney, Paula Hodson and our Country Chair, Lisa Bolger.

Declan will champion ISC’s group’s mission to drive sustainable culture change in the insurance sector, working to create greater gender balance in leadership and opportunity. In his role, he aims to engage as a role model, bringing men and women together to accelerate progress towards gender balance in the industry.
