About

Health and wellbeing play a fundamental role in how individuals show up and thrive at work—yet many health challenges remain difficult to navigate alongside professional responsibilities. From acute diagnoses to longer-term journeys, the intersection of health and career can bring both visible and invisible challenges.

Join us for this upcoming Healthy Futures Forum, where we’ll explore the evolving relationship between health and work. Building on earlier sessions this year—including Navigating Cancer, IVF, and Career Growth and Preventative Care—this forum continues to create space for open, informed, and supportive conversations around health in the workplace.

This session will focus on lived experience, practical insight, and the role organisations can play in supporting employee wellbeing. Together, we’ll reflect on how individuals manage their health alongside their careers, and how workplace cultures can better enable openness, flexibility, and support.

The session will be chaired by Farirai Gora, a highly experienced leader and advocate for inclusive and supportive workplace environments. Farirai brings a thoughtful and empathetic approach to facilitating conversations around wellbeing, guiding discussions in a way that encourages openness, shared learning, and meaningful reflection.

What we’ll explore:

  • Navigating health challenges alongside professional responsibilities
  • The impact of health on career progression and workplace experience
  • The importance of preventative care and early intervention
  • Creating psychologically safe environments for open conversations
  • The role of employers in supporting employee wellbeing
  • Shared experiences and practical reflections from attendees

Who should attend?

  • Individuals interested in health, wellbeing, and work
  • Employees managing or supporting others through health challenges
  • Managers, HR, and DEI professionals
  • Anyone looking to build more supportive and health-conscious workplaces

No prior specialist knowledge is required to attend.

We hope you can join us for this important and supportive conversation.
